Day 1: Flight to Cairo
Arrival in Cairo and reception by your tour guide.
Day 2: Cairo – Pyramids of Giza, Egyptian Museum – Citadel – Muhammad Ali Mosque

The day begins with a visit to the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx on the outskirts of Cairo. Back in the center it goes directly to the Egyptian Museum with its treasures from the ancient Egypt of the Pharaohs and then to one of the most famous mosques in Egypt. The Muhammad Ali Mosque represents Islamic Cairo.

Day 3: Transfer from Cairo to Alexandria – Wadi el-Natrun St. Pischoi Monastery (optional)
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer by bus to Alexandria to the Mediterranean. Optionally bookable in the booking form: Visit to Wadi el-Natrun with visit to St. Pischoi Monastery (St. Bishoy Monastery). Upon arrival in Alexandria, explore Alexandria, residence of the legendary Queen Cleopatra, on your own upon arrival or relax and pamper yourself at the hotel immediately upon arrival.
Day 4: Fort Kait Bey, Roman Amphitheater, Montazah Park

Fort Kait Bey was built in the 15th century and was once the lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. After visiting the Roman Amphist Theater, which was uncovered in 1964 and once offered space for 800 spectators, the day ends with an extensive walk in Montazah Park, the green lung of Alexandria.
5th day of travel: Pompey column, catacombs of Kom-el-Schukafa, Kom-el-Dik
The Pompey column is a relic from the Greco-Roman era in Alexandria. Ancient Rome is also the focus of the rest of the day visiting the Kom-el-Shukafa catacombs from the 2nd century AD and the Kom-el-Dik amphitheater.
Day 6: Transfer to Cairo – Memphis – Saqqara – Bent Pyramid Dahshur (oprional) – Khan el-Khalili Bazaar
The bus takes you back to Cairo, where the journey leads from the current one to the former capital of Egypt – from Cairo to Memphis. In Memphis and Saqqara you can see the Ramses statue, the Djoser pyramid and a sphinx. Optionally bookable on the booking form: Bent pyramid from Dahschur. At the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, you can either trade yourself or watch the goings-on from a cozy café.
Day 7: Excursion to El Fayoum oasis
The bus takes you today to the El Fayoum oasis, a very fertile piece of earth in the middle of the desert. Find out about the sophisticated irrigation system for the El Fayoum oasis, marvel at the obelisk or stroll through the bazaar. The last impressions before returning to Cairo are collected at Lake Qarun, the water source of the El Fayoum oasis.
Day 8: Flight Cairo – Luxor – Check-In Nile Ship – Karnak Temple – Luxor Temple
Upon arrival in Luxor, our tour guide will meet you. Then check-in takes place on the Nile ship. Gather the first impressions of the Nile and enjoy lunch on the ship. The Karnak Temple is the first excursion destination as part of the Nile cruise. The whole splendor of the facility, lined with rams and pillared halls, is conveyed in the evening sound and light shows, which you can visit for an extra charge. The Luxor Temple is the second attraction that you will admire up close that day. Dinner on board the ship and the first night on the Nile conclude this day.
Day 9: Valley of the Kings – Colossal of Memnons – Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut
Today’s sightseeing tour on the Nile takes you first to the Valley of the Kings in Thebes West, which houses the tombs of Tutankhamun and other famous pharaohs. Then visit the over sized Memnons Colossal before this shore leave ends with a visit to the Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut (Deir el-Bahari) and the return to the ship. Around noon the ship leaves for Edfu. Lunch, dinner and overnight on the Nile ship.
Day of travel: Drive to Edfu and Kom Ombo
In Edfu, the next stop on the Nile cruise, the Temple of Horus, dedicated to the god of the same name, awaits you. The wall reliefs, like the entire temple, are still very well preserved and can already be recommended to you as one of the highlights of your trip. The ship is heading for Kom Ombo where you will visit the local double temple in Kom Ombo. Then continue to Aswan and overnight.
Day 11: Aswan – Dam – Unfinished Obelisk – Botanical Garden – Lord Kitchener Island – Isis Temple of Philae (optional)
Let Kom Ombo and the double temple pass you and the ship and look forward to Aswan. The Aswan Dam, Lake Nasser as well as the unfinished obelisk in the rose granite quarry and the botanical garden on Lord Kitchener Island represent an eventful day with numerous excursions around Aswan You can simply book in the booking form.
Day 12: Abu Simbel (optional)
If you choose the optional excursion to Abu Simbel, you can look forward to the temple of Pharaoh Ramses II and his wife Nefertari. You return to the ship around noon and now have a free afternoon or time for further excursions.
Day 13: Return trip to Luxor
In the second passage you enjoy the journey along the Nile. Before lunch and dinner, there is still enough time to relax on the sun deck of your Nile ship and watch the banks of the Nile pass by.
Day 14: Arrival in Luxor
The ship arrives in Luxor today and you can enjoy the last hours on the sundeck and be enchanted by the surrounding landscape. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and overnight on the Nile ship.
Day of travel: Luxor – return flight or bathing extension
After disembarking in Luxor, the Nile cruise has officially ended. Decide for yourself whether you want to be accompanied by the tour guide to the airport and say goodbye to Egypt there or still enjoy a relaxing bathing holiday on the Red Sea in Hurghada, Sharm el Sheikh or another Egyptian city on the Red Sea or the Nile.
